Older climbers? Check!

Perswig, sipping tea at Ohdarkthirty, very much appreciates this bump, Cowpoke.

Thanks.

Here is an 'after' photo of the bridge taken by BrassNuts. Still looking for one from the same perspective as what is posted upthread...

New scanner today

April 91 11,200' Denali I was an apprentice guide for Genet Expeditions. Pic is Climbing Ranger Renny Jackson (I think). Lead guide Scott Woolums and Assistant Harry Hunt. Interesting history around that .....

So it's an old scanner now, not a new one, and the climbs somehow got even older. I dusted off my scanner tonight and found an antique laptop that still held the right driver, to scan a few more ancient shots that haven't seen much daylight.

Back when all you needed was a swami belt, EBs and one set of hexes and stoppers ... Bev Boynton leads Nomad Crack at Cathedral Ledge (5.10b) in 1978.

Cavemonkey, I lost touch with Bev long ago, maybe some of the North Conway boys here can help out. FWIW here are two other 1978 shots of Bev, probably the same day, on a roof crack named Browns Fist (5.9+ done direct).

Here's something you can't see any more -- the epoxy, steel bolts and rigging installed in a vain effort to keep the Old Man of the Mountains from falling off Cannon Cliff. But he did.
