This list is not exhaustive. I reserve the right to either edit the living sh#t out of this thing or post up additions to it.

You have covered a lot. But yeah, too many to mention without leaving some out. I will say this: Todd Gordon is a highlight. Been to several of his events.

When I first met Todd it was at some event or another. Felt totally out of place. He was sitting on the porch. He and Andrea gave me a gracious welcome.

So many that are on my mind.

Edit: Harrison and Lucky Pink in JT. H was setting up prayer flags. Pink was awesome.

Many others. Vogel comes to mind.

In honesty, never felt worthy because I was just a weekend warrior and never climbed higher than .10c. Most everyone on this forum are real people and generous, thoughtful and kind.

Who can ever forget eKatballerina, aka fake blinny, Brockman.

neebster? A gem.

TO:

RileyRad. . . for his birding and his love. He joined me on Mt Shasta, supposedly for some skeezin. . . it rained the entire time he was there. We huddled in my BaseCamp and talked like little girls. It was one of the best times of my life.

Peace to you RileyRad. . . peace to you!

hey there, say... was just saying this, while i am on the phone...

my friend SUE, just said this:
" supertopo, gone? how will we find out stuff? "

meaning, as i joined in on what SHE said, and told her, while i just realized THIS:

here is WHERE i found out about all the info for FOREST FIRES...
AND-- BAD ROAD conditions, or, weather conditions in yosemite...
and-- earthquake updates...

all this came in FAST and from folks that were THERE on the scene...
great links, to the real news out there...

oh my...

as she says: and, me too:

what a sad time... :(

but-- the REAL folks, who shared all this, are STILL there...

and, we can be thankful for any future
mingling, through climbing, hiking, trips, sushi fest,
facelift, etc... that we can get...

thank you for all the WILDFIRE updates...
and, the weather alerts!

Ekat to the max. Gotta say one of my favorite trip reports ever was the epic escape from the closet, after the broken back and loss of consciousness. That was some serious shiz! Being able to laugh about it, and posting the picture of the structural damage to the house was..... well, magic.

Haha, Girls just want to have fun, Kat. That was a great time. Like we had been friends in 100 past lives; I’m sure we climbed some mountains in those lives too.

I had forget about your closet whipper story. I need to hear it again.

hey there, say, ekat...

your adventure with the broken back, and closet, has
HELPED two of my local friends, that fell (their back/other one, tailbone)

and (thankfully) did not quite have as bad a situation
as YOURS, :O

your story, encouraged them to 'get up and keep going'
until they got well...

you are still doing good, out in the world, from this share!

Hope you are doing well ekat. I'll miss your unique positivity. It would have been a lesser taco stand without it.

Thanks, Jim. . . I am kinda wrecked right now. . . Blanchard and I are building a new road (BY HAND) at our place in Montana. . . I, for one, would be happy to not see a chain saw, pick axe, shovel or steel rake for at least the next couple days.

And. . . since the gravel trucks start hauling loads tomorrow. . . well. . . I'm not going to get my way!

zBrown reneged & removed his post?
I'll leave mine here.

The coordination;
planning around the weather
& the stages of construction,
the triple costs of putting in a 'road'
building it (certainly not by hand?!-but still)
is, for this couple, of a certain age, wrecking us, but good (too)Turns out the existing driveway was always 'encroaching'; No one knew nor cared
(having great next door neighbors, Priceless; having great next door neighbors sell & move after 28 years, there is a price)
No Similarities, oh the Ironmongery...

not a big fan of fish tacos,
but I do love some ~Hot Tuna~
