If I had BVB's password I'd log in and speak for our departed friend, because I know this place and you people were important to him. I'm less of a presence, but I've connected with any number of folks, both old friends and new ones, through this forum. So long and thanks for all the fish.

joined climber's taco salad but strugglin' to post pics of new route stoke....halp?

So far as I can tell you can't upload pics to the site. But you can link to another server (photobucket or whatever.) In the quick reply window there's a reply button in the upper right corner. Hit that and it's all there.

Might as well get one last car picture in. The 1964 Lightburn ZETA Sport.

Zeta is a marque of automobile which was produced in Australia from 1963 to 1965 by South Australian manufacturing company Lightburn & Co. An established manufacturer of cement mixers and washing machines, Lightburn and Co. built the cars in its factory in the Adelaide suburb of Camden Park.

Zeta Sedan - 2 door sedan – Villiers Engineering 324cc – 4 speed manual
Zeta Sports roadster – ZF Sachs 493cc – 4 speed manual
4 speed, two cycle engine - but no reverse gear, as such.
Reverse was selected by stopping the engine, turning the start switch in the opposite direction which started the engine in the opposite direction - ergo, 4 reverse gears.

When people have photos on reddit, usually they post them on a separate site like imgur.com and link to that.

Good bye Supertopo. You were great at times! All things must pass, I suppose.

Thanks for all the good interactions and place to share stories.

All good things come to an end

Thanks for the support I've had over the last few years.

It's a shame that all my time putting things together, asking for permission to post this and that, was, ultimately, all for nothing.

I've rescued what I can and hopefully re-post it all on another (or my own) website.

cheers,

Patrick,
Your work has been amazing and I enjoyed every thread very much!
Even if the photos don't display directly any more,
your threads were great for the time they lasted.

Avery, your threads were the best. I have saved all of them. Even the ones that have lost most of the photos have great info.

I guess I should get my thanks in to RJ and Chris.. Thank you! You created a legendary thing here.. End of an era for sure.

Wilbeer, likewise!
Hope your newest direction/career path is going well, and you're still finding time to bike and paddle and do fine construction.
We'll see about the climbing, I need to re-motivate substantially on that front. However, will be taking possession of a new/old Beemer dual-sport soon with the express intent for longer tours, and heading your way would be an excellent agenda item. Domestic situation is a bit unsettled at the moment but turbulence is moderating.

Stay fit and mellow, will miss your updates.

Sorry, saying goodbye to the Taco leaves me profoundly sad.
