Atta boy. Way to milk some mileage out of the day while on an otherwise non climbing trip. The stoke is strong with you ...

I had a great day... tryiní hard to share the stoke but this site is not making it easy... most of my pics are too big to upload, and then everything Iíve written out on my iPhone disappears after a glitch uploading about the 5th pic. I remember having this problem trying to upload TRs from my phone years ago too. Iíll try again, but the stoke wonít shine through in the words as much this time.

Flew in overcast, cleared up quite nicely by the time I was driving toward Boulder:

I always love how many people are actively doing stuff in Boulder, making use of the wonderful trails. Mix of hard bodies and all sorts of normal people and families. It's an inspiring place between the natural beauty and motivated folks all around.

Beautiful rock texture invites passage anywhere you want to go:

Too much of this to share my best pics. Note I routinely get this message with pics in the 4MB or 5MB range too.

More in a minute... need to switch back to the phone to upload more pics and then then come back to editing the report on the PC.

Ok, back on phone, hope this works....

Arggghhh... reaching my limit of trying. Done for the night. I have some more pics, maybe will start a blog and just occasionally pop in here with a link.

I may not pay money for access to supertopo, but I pay with my time and energy to share, to create content that is the product for the business, and it is quite frustrating how hard that has become. I guess the business must not be that desirable or they would try harder to attract content producers rather than alienating them.

Maybe dingus took the more graceful exit, with ďif you donít have anything nice to say donít say anything at all.Ē Iím in a whining mood so Iíll leave it out there.

The irony here is this crackdown to minimize risk and get more climbing content will have the opposite effect for me. Iíll stick around for the socializing but itís not worth trying to generate climbing content here. That is truly throwing out the baby with the bath water.

Whatís the product value of a community that can chat and b.s in text but not share the climbing content they want to share?

P.s. cheesy down-sample by screenshotting photos from within the photo viewer app on my phone.

Ok done for real... even those take forever to upload. The experience of sharing content has been lost from my perspective.

More recently I did run into some trouble uploading photos on the Supertopo server, but nothing like what you are experiencing.
And definitely never got any of those upload malfunction warnings that you received. All very strange. I've read of others receiving different malfunction notifications.

I always appreciated that you used an off-site hosting service because it made your pictures look glorious!

Nice shots of the Boulder area. Definitely looks like springtime down there!
Your first photograph, from the top the hill above it all: that's the proverbial land of milk and honey overview of Boulder, Colorado.

When I used to visit Yosemite, coming home from the airport that view never ceased to amaze me.
Like, I used to say to myself: holy sh#t Batman: I'm just coming home from vacation to a place that is a vacation in itself!

Bump for finally uploading this trip report to my new server:

I had the first half of it done for a few weeks, forgot to finish it until now. Actually only took me a few minutes to get it done... so much nicer! Bonus pic of Tarbuster and me at the end.

Good idea Rick :)

If supertopo is gone by then, Iíll ping Tarbuster for how to get in touch.

I almost hooked up with Nature a year or three ago, but schedules didnít line up..

Ha ha, yes! Please ping me!

And for my sake, given my relentless and worsening infirmities, I will suggest we do that happy hour/gathering up here in Nederland!

Otherwise, I'll just have to look at the pictures of any Boulder events after the fact, on Facebook or wherever.
Which ain't so bad. I'm used to it now.

Berg heil!
