Trump, the race was only relevant in that I thought it was a latino mobile mechanic helping some black lady. I didn't know they were both Mexican until I talked to them (in my broken Castellano).

The relevance of the two-yr old baby is that two years and under compassion is absolutely necessary for survival. If the baby cries, you do whatever the baby wants no questions asked. The situation is different with an older kid wanting to eat ice cream 4 squares a day or else he/she's going to have a temper tantrum. When a kid gets older, you have to provide structure and that requires conscientiousness.

hey there, say, Ballo... (and trump) ...

i just kind of took-it-in stride, and thought perhaps, mentioning the
race, baby, etc, was this:

just an example that you (he) was stepping outside of one's comfort zone, when he did not need to get involved...

some folks are brought up NOT to step into 'another culture's' business, and,
many folks do NOT even want to get into situations with 'crying babies' etc, either...

so, he just gave a 'full true picture of what WE would have seen, if
WE were there... was all...

my ex, a tex-mex, best mechanic in our texas-town, other than his dad of course, :) (now HE really WAS the best) ...
well-- he'd constantly stop and help folks, that were stuck, if we saw them, at stores, or parking lots...

however, in south, tex-- they were mainly all mexican-americans... mutual language, and camaraderie...

however-to-another-degree, even in san jose:
he'd stop and help 'others'...
(even those of his 'so called' non-culture) and, he could have been 'highly unwelcomed' however:

BACK in the 70's, folks were 'commonly' overlapping in our area, race-wise, in our areas, and there was
not as much 'hate as the earlier times, before then' or, 'these later times now--a-days' ...

he stepped OUT of his comfort zone a lot-- however, knowing what it was
LIKE to be stranded and have no help, was a GOOD quality that he had,
and--

he loved the challenge of fixing stuff... :)

some of it, compassion, and some of it, keep a good conscience, that he most likely DID know what to do-- and, could actually DO something to help,
so-- he did...

and, again--he enjoyed the challenge and he 'curiosity' as to what was going on, too...

I'm 1/4 latino and lived in Mexico for 3mo once, so I wasn't really uncomfortable. I just didn't think they were together. All my times in Mexico I honestly never saw many blacks, if any.
