Is closing today! Making way for an upscale bed & breakfast. Such great memories there with Gnar-Vicious, Mad Dog and Lord Slime. Was the perfect place for a trip to Red Rocks.

So sad to hear this, what a bummer. We had a bunch of fun times there too. What's going to happen (or happened) to all the animals?

They’re going to auction off all the stuff sometime next month. Saw it on the LV news this morning.

Nothing lasts forever. After the canyons were closed to camping & Both before & after I was shacked up, I sacked out at Bonnie Springs. A way station for dusty weary climbers from way back. It provided an alternative get-away from the strip & drive-in strip-mall motels, although it wasn't much more than that itself.

Chilled for quite a bit at the fire place area in the restaurant back in feb when it was storming all around. Hope they keep some history..

Bonnie Springs closing. That is sad news. I have very fond memories from Bonnie Springs, it is where RLF and I got married with the one and only Gnarling as our witness/Maid of Honor.

The day after our wedding the three of us climbed Frogland in 103F weather. I had left my native 65F Norway a week before and had not yet acclimatized to the Nevada desert. I was begging Robert and Gnarling to let me go down, but they convinced me that up was the only sensible way to go, so up we went. What a memorable few days.

Gnarling, I hope you are doing well. I miss you.

Such great memories there with Gnar-Vicious, Mad Dog and Lord Slime.

Were you there for Allen's birthday? Inez and Slime were there, and Mad Dog. The only time I've seen the three of them at Bonnie Springs.

Some of the old wreckdot crew

Can you put names to those faces? I probably knew most of them online -- as did a bunch of other Supertopians who migrated here from the wreck.

(Kind of looks like Inez at bottom right)

I can only remember a few now: White shirt on left is me, black shirt Mad Dog & his wife, Gnar Viscous, David Elizer on the floor in black, on couch Mattise in red jacket, Spencer Matthews in tye dye.

That pic is fake - 1 pizza and 2 beers?
Strange idea of a party.

The person at the bottom right does look line Inez (Gnarling), I agree. I can't be sure though.

Inez low slightly right. Mad Dog back left top of the couch with his wife to his right.
That's all I got.

Edit: that looks earlier than the Steck birthday party trip. What year?

Steck 75th Birthday celebration and slide show at the climbing gym in Vegas. I think this was May of 2001. Of the people I can still name...

Lord Slime is center with shorts on, Gary Fike to his left. Inez in black shirt with her back to the pic. Jorge Urioste sitting talking to Allen Steck to the right. Mad Dog far right - half in the shot with camera. Total guess, but I think the woman left lower in the white shirt was Wendy Joseph.

Now that's more like it.

I don't remember the exact year, and we didn't get to the thing in the gym, but we did get to the motel for Allen's birthday, and then spent the next day climbing Prince of Darkness while Inez and Slime rose up beside us on Dream of Wild Turkeys.
