happened about 11:30-12, heard it from manure pile buttress, lots of dust but don't think it was anything compared to the 2017 fall.

I saw a picture that was posted. Looks like it was possibly in the area of The Prophet? Wonder if the route is no more.

Gotta say that the E. Buttress is looking less and less attractive...

Somebody with a penchant for gluing holds needs to get up there and fix the entire East side. Some sections will need to be bolted in place. Whatever it takes.

Videoed from Lay Lady Ledge. Photo was from a video I shot of the bigger rock avalanche of the two successive falls.

Maybe it is obvious, but the photo and video by Contractor are from the Fall 2017 rockfall and not the one a couple of days ago.

Thanks, I should have mentioned that- people familiar with the fall I witnessed would identify it by the scale.
I posted the photo and comment to show how severely jolted the wall was. It'll be unstable for who knows how long.

So the guy belaying at Glacier Point Apron in 1996 and the guy at the base of Zodiac in 2017 are the only deaths so far from these rockalanches? Seems amazing. At least 50 people in a conga line and 30 more at the base should have died in the Half Dome incident. I think E-butt is on a ridge and safe from the ones pictured above.

Yeah, I see, I guess, we did Moratorium, like eons ago. Seems there ought to be alternatives from the East Ledges approach, no idea for sure.

The rockfall occurred from within the scar created by the 28 September 2017 rockfall.

this flake on Greg photo of March 16 rockfall is probably the size of Boot Flake? I was at the first pitch of the Nose at the time and this rockfall felt bigger than it actually was. I was thinking that some boulders reach south-drive, but they were not. April 1 coming, time for Boot Flake to go...

This recent rockfall was roughly twice the size of Boot Flake. If I recall correctly (I have measured it), Boot Flake proper is about 50 feet tall, whereas this flake was nearly twice as tall.
