The look on Alex's face when the Vertical Limit father character hits the ground - priceless - possibly the only rational affective response I've ever seen out of him in reaction to being presented with the possibility of death in climbing.

A great sin of omission not including Homer on the Matterhorn.

Therefore a great disappointment overall.
But then again fascination with pop culture is an unfortunate waste of valuable time and largely a low dopamine effect.

The use of the remote is somewhat distressing until I realized it was a prop(?)
The EMF not good for mitochondria.

Alex is awesome. Super genuine, a hallmark of our times. Glad to have him as our climbing ambassador to the world.

Too bad he did not comment on "For Your Eyes Only." That James Bond scene messed me up with false information. For years I carried little 3 mm strings for prussic loops. Turns out it is hard as hell to prussic on shoelaces. You need at least 6mm to smooth prussicing.

The most serious omission of by far the most realistic Hollywood depiction of climbing ever - K2-The Ultimate High! Eiger Sanction is second.

Which climbing movie had the guys trapped in a crevasse use high explosives and blood to alert those above where they were?

Or did that really happen to me? I forget...
