It's amazing, it's conductive, it's fantastic. But it's also damned expensive.

Sure, graphene is the sh#t, unfortunately I'm thinking this isn't that nor is any of their other apparel that all mainly looks like upper class hipster-bait...

The BS about conducting heat seems dubious. I thought the goal was more about trapping and holding heat. So what if it conducts electricity?

It would be exciting in a lightning storm....or maybe it acts like a faraday cage and passes the lightning around you.

seems 100% bogus to me. As far as I can tell, its nylon impregnated with graphite, and also has a polyurethane membrane. It seems like it will behave like nylon with a PU membrane, not like graphite.

To be honest, even if they made a jacket that was purely out of graphene, I'm not even sure that it has desirable properties for a jacket. ..

You could put out a campfire with it

Melting point
A prediction that was published in 2015 suggested a melting point of ≈4125 K.[87] Recent[when?] and more sophisticated modelling has increased this temperature to at least 5000 K. At 6000 K (the sun's surface having an effective temperature of 5,777 K)[88] graphene melts into an agglomeration of loosely coupled doubled bonded chains, before becoming a gas.[89]

Graphene will probably be the breakthrough material in fuel cell proton exchange membrane technology. With that said, I thought we'd be there by now.

Graphene Jackets: next generation climbing wear

You're going to try to get the next generation of climbers to wear this stuff?

If Couch starts collecting clothing like he does gear he's going to be the most Gucci guy at the crag.
