The OP’s link might be the most disjointed poorly written piece I’ve ever read!
But I guess it serves as a monument to dyslexia, ADHD, and functional illiteracy.

He's scared sh!tless when he saw the cables up to half dome.
He said he's NOT going up there and called off the production of his Skyscraper album cover photo shoot.
So we're all just standing around going WTF now lol.
David and his bodyguard disappear for about a half hour and return.
David is now probably higher than kite and he's jacked up now and said it's still a go.
LOL
So we all head up there after all and he almost died at the base of the cables looking up, lol.
I do have to give him credit as he's scared sh!tless but always manages to push himself eventually to do this stuff that scares him ....

True or not, this part cracked me up>
I’ve broken everything twice, just to make sure, and I’ve had seven surgeries, all of them structural. The first three times you go, there’s a whole pit crew in there: four generations including your grandparents, your mom, the wife, the kids, the boyfriend of the daughter, and everybody else.
Fourth time you go in, you get dropped off. I was there for my seventh and there’s a little kid in there with cancer with no hair—and he’s the only one who’s not weeping. And I said to him, ‘How many for you?’ And he says, ‘Three.’ And I went [erupts into mock snickering] and held up seven fingers.
I could see him doing the math. And I said, ‘C’mon—I’ll walk in with you.’ I’ve learned that the only resort against adversity is your friends, and nobody does anything good alone—well, maybe Prince. Laugh to Win.”

I ran into John Bald out at Josh when we were both in High School. I think the first route we ever did together was Butterfly Crack at Trashcan Rock, a stout 5.11c that we couldn't finger jam because we didn't know how. But we kept trying but no go. Then John says, F*#k it, I'm lybacking. And he did. Just lybacked the whole thing. Somehow I managed to do the same. Had he been so inclined, John could have written climbing history. He had that kind of talent. Beyond that, he was a one of a kind personality. Great people, John Bald.
