Is the Excursion still the way to go? Used to be Garmont but now Scott.

I like mine. They're as close as I can get to the all-purpose boots I used to have back in the day...though the quest to have one pair of skiis to do everything is starting to look misguided. I can't seem to get anyone to share the adventure...

^^^ha Clarke, do you not have more than one screw driver in your tool box? I rest my case.

I used Garmont Excursions for a few years, doing several hut trips and long backcountry tours.I switched over to T2 Eco's, however, as it was a better fit for me, has more control with a better buckle arrangement, tours as well and has beaucoup better downhill control. The biggest seller for me was that the T2's weighed the same as the Excursions.
Maybe Scott has improved the fit and flex, and reduced the wt., which would even them up somewhat.
