You know, Jody's political views are dogmatic as hell and seemingly based on emotion, not reason.

But childish attempted personal attacks say more about your IQ than they'll ever say about his.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has canceled two upcoming events in Los Angeles and New York as she recovers from surgery in December that caused her to miss oral arguments at the Supreme Court earlier this month.

The 85-year-old jurist was scheduled to appear at Los Angeles' Skirball Cultural Center on Jan. 29. The 92nd Street Y in Manhattan also confirmed that a conversation between Ginsburg and financier David Rubenstein slated for Feb. 6 is being rescheduled.

Hmmm, is right.

She's a tough old bird, though...she knows better than anyone what another SCOTUS appointment by this administration would mean for the future of the country. I have a feeling she'll stay right in that court until they carry her out doing CPR.

Trump holding off Pelosi counter-punch
The president is so far staying uncharacteristically silent after Pelosi's State of the Union power play.

President Donald Trump and his aides like to say that when he is attacked, he punches back 10 times harder.

But more than 24 hours after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi delivered an explosive letter calling for the postponement of the State of the Union address, Trump and White House officials are staying largely silent — and that's by design.

White House officials, who were caught completely off guard by the letter, have made a strategic decision to ignore it, and neither the president nor senior officials are expected to publicly respond, at least for now, according to two people familiar with the matter. A White House spokeswoman did not respond to a request for comment.

Trump aides are still weighing next steps and trying to determine whether Pelosi is willing to force the cancellation of the speech. In the meantime, an angry outburst from the president would likely only give the matter more oxygen.

I'm kinda looking forward to his ranting response, esp. if Pelosi specifically disinvites him. He can only heed his advisors so long, then an explosion of yellow custard is gonna tweet right outta his arse. And Pelosi will just stand there, smiling....

Some of our trolls here could learn some things from Pelosi.

Yep. She’s partly right about having a state of the Union speech during the shutdown, but mostly she is trying to get under his skin for the sake of political theatre, and it will work.

That's hilarious!

Jeebus, it's like we're back in 7th grade or sumthin'. I'm sure that wasn't his first impulse...that strategy came from a cooler head.

No doubt, Pelosi will rise above this, and easily out-class this d#@&%ebag.

What a response! Trump is denying Pelosi a trip to Afghanistan, someplace Trump doesn't have the balls to visit.

He must care about her safety;)

Well, he took the bait though he hasn’t (so far) thrown a public tirade.

Still, Pelosi for the win.

I say we should raise their pay to a million dollars a year - on the condition that they all stay the F out of Washington.

Think of the trillions we'd save, and all the good use it would be put to.

hahahaha... amazing!

it appears ole trump and the gang were at least one letter off... because to be more currently correct it should have been

MADA: “make america dickless again” [metaphorically speaking of course]

or maybe MAALSA: “make america a laughing stock again”

cause if there’s a way that trump could have possibly spelt out how little power and/or leverage he has [outside of releasing his tax returns... ha!] then this was probably it...

pelosi’s toughest job is going to be keeping a straight face at the next press conferences.

man... you’d have to be a special kind of stupid to think you’re “winning” when you sign a letter like that...
