The FB post says "Spantik Basecamp". Which puts it below this monster...
Spantik is a 7,000m peak in the Karakorum. The Golden Pillar is, arguably, the most badass climb ever.

On a more serious note I had a same experience climbing the Diamond and on Broadway ledge we stopped to have a "puff" before starting D7 and some party was rapping in to work a pitch up top and let loose a few "cruise missiles". Holy crap!!!!
Don't do that! Not the puffing....thats fine..

I wonder if there are talus flows everywhere in the valley, or if there are spots with less such as below ridges. That looks pretty spicy.

I think anyone planning on actually climbing that monster probably has a different risk tolerance than most for basecamps...

hey there say...
ghost... wow, thanks for the photo, of the climb--i was wondering
for more about it:

yeah, i was wondering, as to this:
quote from T Hocking:

What were they thinkin?
Wouldn't the huge talus field they set up camp on give them a clue as to the possible objective danger of the place?
