Anyone out there that would be willing to part with a Forrest Mjollnir ice pick to help out a collector friend of mine who occasionally posts here? He isn't overly fussy about condition so let us know what you might have.
Cheers

I have a few versions but no "spares".
Aren't those picks fairly common (and cheap) on ebay?

The Forrest pick above is a Vector I. It was marketed in 1983.

nuststory: interesting that that ad doesn't show the tubular pick any longer. Must've been short-lived.

Tarbuster, the Tube Pick is only mentioned in the 1980 catalog.

Yeah, that figures.
After reading this bit of literature you posted, I also just realized that Forrest claims the innovation of interchangeable/replaceable picks.
He says it was instituted in order to heat treat the picks separately, to make them unbreakable.
I had one of his earlier Mjollnir hammers and the head/pick was all one piece. And yes, the pick broke!

Nutstory for pictures and history of the Forrest Mjolliner.
Was fun and educational just reading the comments.

The garden tool one is on the hammer... blurring the line between clean aid and a nut tool
