Reilly, it seems like a probably on the XC.

Clipper, you’rs is going to be the first place I stop by at. A month there as home base seems appropriate.
My old boss at Squaw has some work for me.

Cleo, I can give you a week in Sac if you need the help.

And Sumner, if he’s reading this, can count on a solid week, minimum, of work out of me.

It’s encouraging to have a solid skill set that can get me a job wherever I want. That was the whole premise I based my life around 25 years ago, when I chose not to attend college.

Time away from the wife is going to be difficult but the general consensus seems to be that for me to head west for a couple of months could be a good thing. I sure hope so, the thought of returning to my old stomping grounds gives me trepidation. I’m going to miss the hell our of my beautiful wife.

Also, Lynne, and Nutjob, I’m totally interested. So Cal is a little bit out of the zone where I know what’s up, but I’m pretty adaptable. New places interest me for sure, and I’ll have tools. Lynne just gave me a good reason to bring my siding nailer out with me, so that’s a good thing. I actually enjoy siding.

Brandon, if yer gonna do a proj for Nutagain you don’t need to bring much. I can loan you
prolly everything you would need right down to bags. Worm drive, DeWalt compound mitre,
portable table saw, compressor, Senco framing and finish guns, lasers and Stabila levels, etc.
Did I forget anything? Oh, and most every sander Festool makes plus a Domino. Got about
8 routers, too. 24” band saw if yer gonna get crazy and cut curvy shite. And a Knaack job box.
But I don’t lend undies.

the undies? just teasing Riley, I don't want anything, a rise from you? You seem to have the tools... Ha!

I'll stop trying to be one. You seem to have enough shite, I'll take some from you. If we ever cross paths, you get to buy the first round, I'll do my best, but can't make promises about the second. Cheers.

Everything I cut comes out short!

A friend of mine and his buddy took up re-rigging sail boats right out of high school. They got their first job and naturally they borrowed their dads tools. They carefully measured all of the rigging and ordered custom cables at significant expense. Order comes in and they go to install them and everything comes up 2" short. They are flabbergasted and after much head scratching they finally discover that dad's tape measure had the first 2" cut off and the end was reattached Before I use anyone else's tape I always look at the first two inches.

Brandon, if you come to So Cal, we can organize a party/climbing day for you at one of the nearby crags!

Maybe start a new thread for "Where in the World is Brandon?" and let us know where you are as you travel around.

RJ, I won’t presume that Brandon knows why camels are known as the ‘ships of the desert’.

The ‘ship of Monrovia’...

That's akin to liking OW's. Plenty of work for you since everyone I know hates it and does a job that reflects that!

Tough situation with the missus.... Generally if she is wanting time and space away from you thats code for wanting to try other..... Well... you know.

No kids right? Fly away man... fly away.

phylp, I'm on board for that!

Brandon, yeah forgot to include the food part with the room.

But bottom line is I'm glad you posted here. My husband and I had two miracles during our 40 years together that quite literally saved our marriage and gave us a wonderful new and improved version. I sense people here get tired of lynnie talking about her best friend, jesus, but he has made all the difference!!!! Talking to him right now about you. :)

Everyone is wired a bit different. That worked for you and that was your story. I have friends who have had so many more relationships and marriages, the highs and lows and different loves they experience - there's a lot of life in that too and sometimes I'm jealous of a much crazier existence than my own.

I have nothing but sympathy for your aching spirit, brother Brandon.

Woeful choices you need to make.

It's good to seek advice and you have some impressive advisers.

I can offer only my good wishes and hope you get what you need and hope you figure out what you want.

Johnny, and you were only home because tired of chasing yer tail?

Sometimes you're the hammer and sometimes you get nailed?

Don't know what I'm saying, but power to the couples that sort it all out till the end.

Someone once told me that we're all trying to get pregnant. Dudes are more often aficionados of the variety. Women, maybe more choosy, because biology (common sense?), but there are still principles I suppose?

Don't need to know what you old dudes were up to in the 60's.
