Hey! My wife wants to move out and I want for her to have the house. It’s a six month trial separation, in our words. I love to be in mountainous places and I’m a decent builder, been doing it for fifteen years now. So, if anyone needs a builder for the winter, and has a good lead on housing, I’m all ears. I’d obviously bring my own tools and a reliable vehicle. My heart aches, space and a project to focus on would be great. If you’re interested, I can send you contact info. Thank you.

Brandon, I’m so sorry to hear this.

I don’t have any leads for you at the moment but I’ll keep my ears open.

In the mean time...take care during this tough time. You are a fine, fine person.

Feck dude,

Sorry things aren't quiet on the home front. Glad they sound civil at least. If you get stuck, come to South Lake. Things are up in the air here too, but Tahoe should be stable, at least through the winter. I have an extra room. It's old and funky, but in a decent location (furnished).

I'm trying to finish a shed. I need to put a floor in the bathroom, and hopefully get a claw foot tub installed too. Replace a couple of old windows? There may be some projects a bit further away. I may have to get a house ready to rent. Without my uncle around anymore, professional trade experience would be appreciated.

Most all the projects can wait really. At least, you can crash until your next phase. I don't have the references, but it seems that many here have vouched for you here.

Season passes are on sale for a few more days. The mountain may still be hiring. Let me know.

brett.fredericks@ g mai l. you can figure out the rest.

p.s. people complain about using avatars. reality is that some work will fire you for what you post on the internet. Not all anonymous typers are jerks (I hope). again, never had a name for myself.

I don't mind avatars. Lots of people have nicknames. What I don't like are people hiding behind avatars and being as#@&%es to others. If you are going to get in someone's face then you should have the courage to let them know who you are.

Best wishes to you Brandon. I know that you will find a good place.

just cuz' I'm feeling defensive, or honery, ha! I hope I don't confuse getting in someone's face with something thrown up on the internet. Agreed there is a lot of gray area, and some ugliness too.

p.s. let me know if interested, so I can take down my post. they may be watching, ha!?

Park an old motor home in Paradise, CA and learn how to build complete homes from the ground up. Construction labor is in such short supply in CA, you will be well compensated. All while helping a devastated town come back to life.

My wife is never someone I would cheat on. I’m 39 years old and have never cheated. Ever.

The rebuilding Paradise idea is a good one.

central Oregon is over the top when it comes to construction needs. You could most likely find work tomorrow....housing (rental) is a problem though.

Good question. I guess I feel like I know some people here. I’ve been in contact with a lot of the community for almost fifteen years and it seemed right to reach out to people I know in the places I want to spend time in.
