Anyone have experience using rigging plates on big walls. Are they worth the extra clutter/weight to bring up there? Seem like they could help stream line belays nicely and keep biners from getting too crowded.
Thoughts? Comments? Musing from you big wall aficionados?
Thanks

Now that I think about it, a plate would have made my last route a little bit easier. Probably worth while on something 3 days or longer (bulk wise).

I like to use to williams gate petzl lockers - the pear shaped ones. That way you have plenty of space and you use that as your master point to clip other lockers on to...

If you are hauling multiple bags and ledges plates are awesome.
For smaller loads, they are not needed.
I like the 3 hole petzl when I need to squash the mutiny....

^^^^ Agreed. Maybe for a hauling system... Or passing knots hauling 500ft in one go? I've never used them. I just pay attention to what comes off last gets clipped in first (If that makes sense).
