For sale:

Older-style North Face VE-25 (tent, fly, poles)
Color is the old NF golden tan

The floor of my VE-24 died about 1998. I sent the tent back to NF to get a new floor installed, but they sent me brand-new VE-25 instead. I've used the VE-25 numerous times for car camping, but never took it into the backcountry. If I recall correctly, its about 10 pounds total. I bought a much larger basecamp tent for car camping, so I no longer need the VE-25.

Condition:

-Lightly used, no rips, tears, or any other defects of significance

-Waterproofing is good as new

-You will probably want to replace one pole, it's usable but splitting at one connection

-No stakes

New ones retail for $690

No delam or damage
Fly is like new
I am away from home for a few days, can post pics in a few days
It's probably 20 years old, so I wouldn't take it to Denali
But anywhere else it's bomber

That doesn't worry me too much as I'd only be using it for winter car camping. How has it been stored; i.e., indoors in controlled environment or in a hot garage? You said you'd take it back if not satisfied so I think this is a good deal; I have gear from the 80's that still has life in it.

I'd like the tent but don't really NEED it. If you want it, it's yours.

edit: SRL is is offering up a killer tent for a very good price.
