Heidi & I participated in a community "Yard-Sale" in Choss Creek today.

We don't need the cash, but we have way too many possessions.

Woohoo! We sold some schist! Rocks, bottles, old books, & misc household goods1

Rain here the rest of the week end. We have noted that Memorial Day weekend in the northern rockies, usually brings rain, or a huge snowstorm.

Fun fact, the whale watching and fishing fleet of Monterey is cursed. Every three day weekend known to our beautiful country produces high winds and rough seas, often forcing us to cancel numerous trips and miss out on tens of thousands of dollars... and then we are forced to consider if going outside during apocalyptic tourism is worth it.

The result...

Small world!

Geared up for cannon fire at the Civil War reenactment a little closer to home today:

The first 3 minutes or so were iffy, but he adjusted and we stayed for the whole battle.

Bit of sport climbing with the family, then off to back-to back SAR calls for broken and lost hikers. (counteracting natural selection)

This was the lightest traffic I had ever encountered on either a Friday night or Monday return holiday weekend.

Now as for this...

As you can imagine, our mountain area gets pretty darn crowded on three day weekends (one just stopped by my house!).

Invalid without pics. :) I didn't hardly seen anyone. Not that the weather would have dissuaded them. But one did stay at our place and then climbed with them "Sac" types after that. :)
