Provided I can get everything off my desk and pick up my wife's car from the shop before they close, heading up to the mountains to hang with my boys.

Watching B.A.P.s flood our beautiful county.

But many of my climbing friends are B.A.P.s, so, overall, I'm OK with that.

Actually the wife's last day of work before her retirement is today,

I arranged my retirement for May 29. Why not get paid for the holiday?

Father-in-law's 80th. But that's just a coincidence. I generally avoid doing things over "official" 3 day weekends and try to do stuff the weekend before or the weekend after, when every where is empty.

Retired. So it’s more of s PIA for me.

But I do have tickets to the local showing of Dirtbag, the movie about Fred Beckey.

Have a safe holiday and a moment of silence for why we have this remembrance.

Whats a BAP?

The polite version is "Bay Area People."

We don't always use the polite version. As you can imagine, our mountain area gets pretty darn crowded on three day weekends (one just stopped by my house!).

21st Mule Daze parade. I know, I know, I'm running towards the crowd but since I broke my clavicle on Monday my choices are kinda limited.

Yeah Jon....I always noticed that there seemed to be two back to back days every week where the climbs seemed to be extra crowded. I started using them as rest days to avoid the crowds....called weekends are they?
