got half way up the Nose when Hans finally realized that two broken legs is a problem

Running out of gas because of mechanical problems, and needing a rescue must suck. You'd think that Hans would know better, than to start off without first checking to make sure everything is OK.

I'm guessing Hans will set a record for broken leg recovery. Then he'll break them again next year and beat his recovery time by several days...

According to the Fresno Bee El Cap is NOT a rock wall anymore.

It's a mountain.

Where mountain climbers climb and break their bodies .......

Its best too keep the general public uninformed. Less of a hassle with all the details and stuff.

Hans,

I love the shameless plugs for your two books. It's a good sign that you are on the mend! Do you know any place in Yosemite West that might be available to help you recover in peace and quiet?
