Any local intel on this fire?

We are headed to the Alabama Hills for a couple few days of climbing and chillaxing. Mark just pulled in to the spot on Movie Road and said this thing looks like a rager. Yikes.

What do idiots and arsonists do when it isn’t windy?

Most of these are not idiots unless you count the power company executives who don't spend enough money to monitor and repair their lines. If it blows hard enough power lines fall down. We could eliminate this risk by putting them all underground but that might curtail profits so it won't happen.

How can they monitor the lines when they're under ground...?

Have fun, Micro. Was just down there. We climbed a newish route called "Don't Scrape Your Giblets" on Chocolate Turkey Tower. Check it out! Very fun.
