This is an article on the Footless Crow website about Hot Henry’s past and more recent climbing in Bermuda as a prelude to the forthcoming Gogarth anthology: The White Cliff.

Agreed. And having Henry write more stories would be stellar!

Thanks for posting Grant.
I used to run for a living and raced the Bermuda mile several (5, 6?) times, over a decade before I took up climbing, wish I would have known there was so much good stuff there! alas, now I'll have a reason to come back, to explore the one part I never knew existed!

cheers, CH~

Coolio. Still shaking my head over his solo of The Strand at Gogarth.
The turf exit is scary enough with a rope, let alone the rest of it.

“Henry is 64 years old and not suffering from anorexia nervosa,”

I think we can get a quorum to commiserate with that diagnosis here!

Read Chip Lee's book.
Definitely a worthwhile article posted here!

Ask Henry to do his wine glass eating party trick next time you see him!

Henry was one of the big inspirations in my early days, and he was certainly one of the reasons American free climbing was such a lure for many Brits. Legend!

Re... Footless Crow. Crow with no feet. Have to keep flying because you can't stop. I grew up in that era and understood that was the reason for the name. Could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. I was wrong once before... when I thought I was wrong.
