In January 2017, Trump proclaimed in a tweet: “North Korea just stated that it is in the final stages of developing a nuclear weapon capable of reaching parts of the U.S. It won’t happen!”
But in fact it appears to have happened on Trump’s watch, and nothing in the Singapore summit seems to have changed.

So, an important first step, second step and third step have been taken in denuclearizing the peninsula, bringing the two countries closer together and reducing tensions in the region not to mention reduction in the armed forces and you still have the balls to complain. You know there’s a big fat giant line between leftist ideology and common sense!
Oh ya, so we’re clear, I’m no fan of the current president, but that doesn’t mean I have my head thoroughly shoved up my ars…

I’d rather have them talk than not, but I don’t give him credit for easing tensions that he had unnecessarily ratcheted up (e.g., his “bigger button”/“fire and fury” recklessness), nor do I give him credit for stopping war game exercises without getting any firm concessions in return, and especially without consulting our ally, South Korea. A promise to “denuclearize” doesn’t mean sh#t.
Finally, his praise of that murderous dictator Un is disgusting, betrays American values, and feeds into Un’s propaganda machine. And yet, Trudeau gets trump’s wrath. Go figure.
