I just developed a old (12 years old, apparently) roll of mystery film. Turn out it had some pretty fun photos from the National Register of Historic Places dedication at Camp 4 that happened during Facelift back in 2006!

There were a few others on the roll, mostly of these guys, but the photos I posted above are definitely the best ones. BTW, I'd love to know who the guy in the second photo is! He's the only one I didn't remember.

That is Nick Clinch in 2nd photo.
Would be good if you could name all the suspects. Many won't know them, and especially so in a few more years.
For the record: Clinch is the only American to have led an expedition which made the first ascent of an 8,000 meter peak: Hidden Peak (Gasherbrum I, 26,470 feet) in 1958, where the summit team was Andy Kauffman and Pete Schoening. He also led the expedition on which Willi Unsoeld and George Bell completed the first ascent of nearby Masherbrum (25,660 feet) two years later.

Thanks, Chris, for the info on Nick Clinch! I never would have come up with that on my own.

I took your advice and captioned/tagged all the photos. You're probably right that in a few years a lot of young climbers probably won't immediately recognize these faces. It was awfully bittersweet to get this roll back from the lab on almost the first anniversary of Royal's death and see all those pictures of him.
