I'll be there along with my girlfriend and our newborn son. The lady doesn't want to camp with the little one. Are there more hotels other than Ahwahnee and Yosemite Lodge? They're booked. Any suggestions outside of park? Will be coming down 49 ftom the north.

Just a thought..
there are cabins in foresta, condos and cabins in yosemite west, and cabins in wawona. All of those are inside the park, so you don't have to leave the park and enter it on a saturday. The line into the park can be long on a saturday morning.
no restaurants though. Except at wawona hotel. You would have to do your own food. And they don't do one night rentals.
Foresta 10 minutes to valley
Yosemite West 15 minutes to valley

Just spoke with Covington, presuming he can get his burn piles taken care of on his property he will be likely attending. He may drive with me from Moab. Ron, as far as camping, you can squeeze him in my site as I have a few options as far as staying that night.... Getting to internet/computer access is tricky for him so I'll try and post on his behalf when we know for sure.
