Do any of you guys/gals play this incredibly silly/addictive game? We are getting a course in Bishop, until then we have an unofficial course marked in town. . .

I think I'd rather go golfing at Bushwood CC with Jody than toss another round of sillydisk in the gigglebush. but if I lived in Iowa, I guess....

Used to play a fair amount. Any excuse to spend time outdoors. 😎

I'm still closely connected to the game even though I started competing in 1976. It's evolved at an alarming pace. Current discs are broken down into something a long the lines of traditional Ball Golf Clubs. You've got your Driver's, Fairway, Mid Range and Putters and everything in between. Courses are cropping up all over the place. I live in Santa Cruz where the world famous DeLaveaga Disc Golf course is.

They put a course in Auburn Ca in 1980. I used to play there a lot .

This was before they had the smaller golf disk's.

The second hole was a par 3. You had to throw it way out right ,to get past the tree's and let it drift back to the left.

Made a hole in one there once ,with the biggest frisbee I had.

Later I learned about rolling..

Disc golf is a ton of fun! Inexpensive, relaxing... in nature... I got my retired disabled dad playing a bit, he likes it a lot too. And hunting down and getting an Ace... this is rather satisfying.

Supposedly they are going to put in a "real" course in the Mill Pond Park near Bishop. . . but until then we have marked some trees in a field in Bishop to play on, if any of you are interested in learning our course let me know. . .
