Dave- Was there any sort of register on top because I bet you were in the first 6-8 ascents? I would like to know what else you have as most folks don't haul a camera up that route.
Ed Cooper kindly sent me several great Sedona photos to share here.

Hey Steve, I don't recall if there was a summit register on top of Earth Angel in '88. But, here is a fun shot of my buddy coming up the last pitch with all the cool 'clamshell' holds:
Also, a humorous fashion pic of my first time up the Mace, also in '88.

Dr. Rubo’s
We climbed Earth Angel in the early to mid 90s (??) don’t remember a register. Brass- nicely done in 1988!! Curious to know how you even had heard of it?? In those days we only had a R&I article with a few topos.

I just had a great interview session with Dave Rearick about the FA of the Mace! He can't make the event but I will be showing the tape including the brush with the law that tanked the whole show!

The Mace was my favorite spire I have climbed. Truly, truly awesome.

Certainly THE area classic...
Dave recalls rapping off of the single bolt placed for the step across to get down. Brave and trusting men. They didn't do the jump across apparently either that he can recall.
