As a different aside, I'm in favor of legalization. But if I was in charge of setting the rules, I wouldn't allow advertising. Treat it the same way that cigarettes are treated.

California isn't collecting the revenue they expected because many places have outright banned recreational, despite the voters approving it. There are no rec outlets in Kern Co, the situation is no different than prior to rec-legal you can only purchase at a medical dispensary with a rec from a doctor. It's absurd, if they pulled that stunt with alcohol, the politicians would be run out of town on a rail.

A couple we are friends with that live in Bakersfield drive down to L.A. county about once a month to get to a rec-legal shop. They're our age so not exactly tuned into the black market, and don't want to settle for the limited selection a black market provider would have. It would be like going to the liquor store and your only three choices were Milwaukee's Best Light, Tanqueray, and Cinnamon Schnapps.

NY is taking the same route as Vermont,by not allowing any permits or licenses to anyone until thier respective legislatures figure out how to tax and regulate.

But,they want legalization and No enforcement to take place until then.

Vermont set thier date of legalization earlier on and NY will follow.

They will allow an individual to possess and procure ,up to a pound.

I have given enough reasons ,not just anti corporatist.

Cheers.

"So is it that the cartels are setting up illegal grow houses or other venues ,or is it the prohibition continues? "

Colorado was very liberal with pot at first. No license required for individuals to grow up to six plants at a time and those with medical approval way more than that. Originally, anyone over 21 could grow many more plants, but that's not true now. The cover given by legalization of cultivation in one's home and the taxes on the legal sales have encouraged the growth of the black market and cartel activity, like excessive cigarette taxes have done elsewhere.

Revenue for education has dwindled to a trickle.

No problems for me. I'm just along for the ride. Interesting times.

however, say the rising number of pot-related traffic fatalities cannot be definitively linked to legalized marijuana.

Ok ,so which is the truth ,really. I was an EMT for 20 years over here, I have never,I repeat never showed up at a scene where the guy drove into the ditch because he smoked too many bongs.

Keep believing what you want ,you have proof in numbers..

35 million in one year added to the local tax base in Pueblo. My guess is that you could of done better raising taxes and keeping the prohibition going.

HS.

It is not unclear.

I just have to say ,the age old arguments and demonizing of maryjane, sound so ,well old and very dated.

I really do not mean to be so terse.

This has to end.

Anyone out there that has a beef with legalization, should then have twice the amount of venom in them to totally ,at least twice ,to go against anything Alcohol.

You all know it.

You ,really ,DO.

And ,as far as not meeting your goals as to paying for everything ,so you do not have to.

Sorry.

It is a shame that a whole mess of stoners could not pay your share of the social contract we all live by.

There bye making it all viable.

Some people piss me off. I figure you all knew that.

Here is another thing.

Since NY legalized medicinal cannibis earler on,great universities, like the one I have been going to part time,Cornell, have been studying cannabis.

I have taken part in clinical trials.

They and SUNY are closing in on tendon/cartilage repair therapy with the use of MJ and Hemp.

Trials have had unbelievable success.

You will hear of this,soon.

You would think that former party school numba one, Chico state, would have been all over legal herb but no. Fortunately Redding has one so we just take that short drive up the 5.
I took this photo to share with my stoner brother in Brooklyn to make him feel like he lives in a backwards state and also to make him jealous of my jellies. I would feel your pain if I wasn't so high!

No, Reilly, he's saying that cannabis inhibits reporting.
