I'm bringing to life a new line of quickdraws that work with the climbers mind to improve climbing performance. Check out the video below to see what I mean. We would love your support for our upcoming Kickstarter campaign. Stay in the loop by following @theconsciousclimber on Instagram. I am so excited to use these draws this season!

Happy Climbing!

Nice first post.

My current limitations in climbing are physical, not mental.

I know that a lot of the products I buy are made overseas, because it is cheaper.
If I have a choice, I would rather buy products made in my own country.

Good luck.

interesting what motivates...

around the campfire this past summer a climber observed what make him excel is the fear of injury or death rather than the joy of peace and success...

maybe a "You're Gonna Die" line of clips would help those climbers?

I think "watch me" and "take" would also be very popular. lol

This can't be for real.

So... "Freya".

Old Norse for "The Lady". A goddess associated with love, sex, beauty, fertility, gold, war, and death.

Not much to do with climbing there (except maybe death). But wait... There is a connection. There is a mountain named after that goddess. Mt. Freya. And I've spent a fair amount of time around it. Never had the alpine courage to climb it, though.

But that was decades ago, long before Conscious Climbing Quickdraws existed. For sure, if I'd had a quickdraw on my rack that had "Focus" written on it, I'd have sent that sucker no problem...

Not.

Doesn't a sharpie cost 2$?!?

I bought some used gear many moons ago in Banff and a few tied-runners were tossed in. Got home and upon closer inspection the previous owner had Sharpied various messages on the runners, 'Don't fall a$$hole' 'Don't die $hithead' and my personal favorite 'You suck!'

You'd be better off making sleeves people can put on their draws. I would be that few people will be willing to pay $50 for a $25 quickdraw or $35 for one that costs $14.50.

Very dangerous product. If you rack them up in the wrong order you could end up with a "Breathe" at the crux when you really wanted "Strength"

Surely the "40 Dollar Yoga Towel Crowd" will bite

one way or another, me-has-concluded that this is next level...

it’s either so next level, my simple mind can’t comprehend that someone would do this seriously... or...

i haven’t been able to rule out, even after trawling their instagram, that this isn’t next level andy kaufman style entertainment...

either way best of luck and thanks for the [inadvertent?] entertainment...

I agree, but also with Tami

Forget about this twirly shit; it's gonna lead exactly nowhere.

hard to make a living selling climbing gear at all, let alone to a sub-market of climbing equipment buyers.

We recognize the importance of mental preparations for our sport, and mantras might be a way for some to prepare... but I don't see it as a business opportunity.

One for the crux:

"Don't let go."

But seriously, climbing is 90% physical and 90% mental. Everyone knows that...

Would definitely buy draws that said "don't fall fat ass". Not sure positive visualizations would help me. ;-)
