Da Bums just became the first team in NL history to have 7 players with 20 homers!

Francisco Arcia becomes first player in major league history to catch, pitch and hit a homerun in the same game.

His ERA sucks, though: 9.00

Soooo...

Dodgers sweep the team that matters...the Rockies...

Then struggle with the Padres?

Classic Dodgers.

Let’s go Dodger Blue!

Well, the Dodgers got some payback for last night, but I’m still not impressed. Most of those runs came off of Nix...then once he gets pulled, not much after that. Ferchrissakes.... it’s the Padres!

That kinda inconsistency ain’t gonna cut it if they are lucky enough to get to the big show with the Red Sox...those guys are killin’ it!

I’m not sure the BoSox are exactly killing it like earlier in the season. Watching them vs the Tribe. Haven’t seen them at all but I am impressed! Price looked mediocre, at best, against them the other nite. BoSox will have a hard row to hoe to get to the Show with The Tribe, the Stros and, dare I mention them, the Bronx Bombers in the way.

Watching a replay of today’s Dodgers-Padres right now...10-zip Dodgers, bottom of the 5th, 2 outs...Muncy just drove in home two runs...

Still not impressed. This team is still playing like...the Dodgers. The last few games of the season are pretty soft for the D’s. Fitttng that the season will wrap up against the Giants, who, in spite of their losing season, could still easily psyche the D’s out and have them finish with a bunch of losses.

And....much as I respect Hershiser’s pitching legacy, his announcing is starting to grate on me.

No NL team has a snowball’s chance against either of those four AL crews.
Right now the BoSox look the weakest of the bunch although the Yanks’ pitching is suspect.

I think you’re right about that, Reilly. I’ve been averting my eyes from the ‘stros (still haven’t gotten over it), but the AL averages of the higher ranking teams is far above the NL. As easy as it is to make the D’s blink, it’s not an optimistic picture.

The Athletics are in the post-season.

61-25 over their last 86 games.

The A’s are definitely THE wild card and probably loving flying below radar coverage, huh?

C’mon, Dodgers...this shouldn’t be so hard! So why is it so hard?

Dodgers depend too much on a deep bullpen and big hits. When neither is going well, they totally tank. Gotta learn to play better small ball!

Chris Taylor is the poster child for the many guys who think they’re David Ortiz but would be much better off emulating Pete Rose.

Anybody keeping track of how many Dodger pitches went into the dirt tonight? Grandahl is doing the best he can to keep up, but there’s only so much a guy can do...

D’s down by 5, top of the 8th, two outs.

Make that 3 outs.

Once again, when they have to produce, they choke.

They now have to sweep the Giants to even have a shot. Like that will happen.

Meh.

Talk about overpaid under-achievers! 🙄

And wazzup with Machado’s hairdo? Is he out to scare the clowns?
