I have been searching the world over for my most prized poster, after my cat ripped it up. I am not sure if it is dan or not but he is the only one that would be crazy enough to do a "flag" 500 feet off the ground I would love find this photo!!!!! it is a "NO FEAR" poster that said "Don't Let Your Fear Stand In The Way Of Your Dreams" and at the bottom in small print it said: #6409 Published and distributed by O.S.P. Publishing, Inc. 1001 Monterey Pass Road, Monterey Park, CA 91754 MADE IN THE U.S.A. For a mail order catalog call (213)896-2916 Copyright 1994 No Fear. Photo Kevin Worrall

That poster was in a gym in Blackrock, Co Dublin that I used to work out at, but I always thought it was Wolfgang Gullich.

That's Dano. Still have the original somewhere, but no posters. He was doing that flag with two freshly broken ribs from stacking up his BMX on a crazy jump on the trail in that morning.

Don't know what got into that guy- he was one of the best climbers I've ever watched climb.

Yeah, he had that BMX stack for breakfast with a side of two broken ribs, then an Atlantis onsight solo with a spontaneous flag thrown in for lunch.

I had that poster on my fall for years...amazing shot. Kudos.

So powerful, both the message and the man.

Any truth to the rumor that Dan-o pulled the flag in order to kill time while waiting for the camera crew to get in position?

And I hate to think of what he had for dinner! Cans of corn???

definately a bit of showbaoting going on with that flag, but good to know it was "spontaneous."

gives new meaning to the term "feeling solid."

Totally spontaneous. I was just still shooting him from the side while Mike Hatchett shot film and he popped the thing off. I was blown away not just by him doing it, but by how horizontal he got. That was the day I first met him and the first time I saw him climb. One of the smoothest guys I've seen on the stone, and one of the coolest.

That shot is Kodachrome 200 pushed to 800 through a Canon 200mm f4L shot at f5.6 at 250th of a second on a tripod.

I like to think that's how he would have wanted the climbing world to remember him. Bold, fit, spontaneous, talented, and a little bit crazy.
