oi vey... i dare say i must be coming down with a case of the vapors...
what happened to a good ole fashioned deleting of a mistaken statement with a simple or not so simple mea culpa?
instead we’ve got “poetry” [and i use that term stretched to the limits of its definition] that has been left to stand [when it could have quite easily been deleted] and then a new thread opener that spends as much time rehashing why the dude was right to both chop and be outraged [by a relative to the world at large com.plete.ly meaningless bolt] as it does time spent “apologizing”...
colour me a cynic, but i haven’t seen so much self aggrandizing mileage made of so little since, well, herm, maybe... wos?
can we at least setup a $5 “donation” to ASCA in exchange for a ticket in a raffle to receive the freshly faux gold plated and plaque mounted hanger of our obsession that will now be replete with a brass enscribed tag underneath saying:
“the hanger drawn in the sand, of the year of our lord two thousand and seventeen”
cause methinks i see jesus in this toast and i’d at least like a chance at a momento...
:P

Thanks, Jim.
The words didn't bother me, but apparently they bothered other people, so that's helpful.
I agree the discussion should have been about the circumstances of the bolt, not about past actions of the people involved.
