As many of you know the Owens River Gorge has been experiencing water releases which have changed the river and access to much popular climbing areas. Bridges are in need of revamping to gain access which requires both manpower and materials. An example of such efforts is the recent bridge installed below China Wall (showcased in the TR) which took 8 people, 3 hours and cost nearly $250 in materials.

All proceeds from the auctioned guide will be donated to the bridge replacement project for ORG. For those of you that desire the guide this is a way to snag it and give back to climbing community.

The guide is in perfect condition with no shelf wear, no drawings/markings or highlighting. The spine is new and never been cracked.

• The starting bid, like Gorge routes, is steep... $100
• Auction ends ???, let's get this started
• Signed by Marty Lewis

Post your bids or message me directly.

I bid $110 and it will only get more expensive if I bid again.

Gorge guide is not available at Wilsons. So this is your chance to do some good and score a guide by a single bid!

Bonus round: Outbid me by $100 and I'll match your donation with my original bid.

I also have an 'almost' new copy that I found. It's in great condition but does have a name written on the inside cover. If anybody wants to buy it the money can also go to the bridge fund.

Great, let's set the auction end as January 1st. I'll crossnpost to Mountain Project and finalize the Bids.

I admit to not watching this auction too closely and appreciate the bids received to date. The funds will certainly go to good use and new bridge supplies for our beloved ORG.

Let me like around the other sites to verify $115 is the highest bid.

Thanks all!

If supply and demand can be summoned to raise coin that's awesome. But sh*t, man, I'm still using my lime green edition... y'know, the one where we all got our try at peeling away the post-publication blackout sticker covering the Area History section that sh*t-talked about drama between early developers.

Yeah, that one. So if the 10th edition is now 'vintage' and worth $100?
Well file this sad foray into Supertaco under I-don't-feel-old-but-all-the-signs-are-there side of things.

Back to wallowing how modern times have caught up, and ORG is now to be explicitly managed as an outdoor gym. And punch myself in the face for every person I guided back in the day.

Done and Ended. Thank you Bobinc for your high bid of $115 which will directly go to bridge replacement at the ORG.

We do have another guide offered by 'dme' for those willing to match the highest bid of $115. This option will remain ongoing until met.

^^ is this true Diane? Also, happy late Birthday to you my dear. ^^
