I am thankful for..........

Wide open spaces.

Dirtbikes and all of the adventures I've had on them.

Big trout that lie in the deeps and only rarely surface for the fisherman who is pure of heart.

A climbing partner who is always stoked.

The love of a good woman.

What are you thankful for today? Happy Thanksgiving everybody.

I am thankful that CosmicMcCragsman has SOMETHING for which to be thankful...been a rough go, Dwain. Love ya, guy!

I am also thankful to have been able this morning to eat a meal with someone who, though hard of hearing, was a pleasant and knowledgeable gentleman.

We two had a fine conversation in the Veterans Hall over a turkey dinner provided by the Rescue Mission. I don't get to talk to others over a meal very often, other than at the cafe.

He's Jack by name and a printer by trade; and, even though traveling by bicycle, he gets around. He and I shared about Flagstaff, AZ, for example, and I explained how the Main Drag here devolved into The Big Drag.

He asked what I knew of telescopes and I told him "Nothing."

I asked what paper did he work for and he said the Sun. I asked him had he worked for the Sun-Star, our local rag, and he laughed his head off. It's a local joke, is what it is, but it's what we have, and so I should be grateful for it, too. I'll get back to you on that.

Today I am thankful for family for to share food. Today I am thankful for dogs with whom I walk.

Today I am thankful for new roots to scamper and a corresponding corporeal constitution fit for 'sploring.

Today I am thankful especially for pussy to grab. Too bad our president does not recognize the sanctity of my marriage, huh Cosmic?

That we had enough monkeys to dinner and they all wanted leftovers to take home. Especially considering we ended up with six! pies at dinner.
Made clean up and dealing with massive amounts of left over food much more tractable.

Susan and Mike, stuffed to the max.
