In the past two years there have been two disruptive large scale wildfires in CA just prior to/during the launch of this project (Santa Rosa/Napa and Thomas fires 2017, and Paradise 2018. There's also been a Santa transition. Significant factors all.

Here is where we stand...
2017 SS participation was at an all-time low. I know not why. Perhaps the newer ST members have no interest? Perhaps older folks have stopped visiting the site?
2018 has been a rough year for many with the unrelenting fires weighing heavily on many. October/November also came up on me in a flash!
Six weeks ago I had a complete harddrive meltdown. While I had a good percentage of data backed up, it would seem I forgot to check in on SS email... I had a few dozen tasks that were of greater importance. I need to do that today.
SO... WHAT TO DO?
I am quite willing to run this one more year and see if the numbers make sense or... we can let this enter obscurity.

Just a thought....given the time constraints...that names be exchanged and a $20 donation to that person’s favorite charity. (It wouldn’t be secret....but)
It could work like this: I’m given a participants name and their fav charity. I donate $20 in their name to that charity.

I f*#ked up last year. Bought a gift and never got it out, life was and still is crazy, but that’s no excuse. Sorry SteveW, I still have your gift. All that said, I’m down for a re-do. ST is a great place, let’s keep the community going!

NEW YEARS, are also traditinal gift times,as well...
just let us know what you want to do...
it's about forging friendships, too...
and, even just 'ships passing in the night' hello-hugs, at times,
too...
but, it all leaves a lasting impression, that folks care to
exchange parts of their life-time efforts...
