Booyah! All the best to Quinn and her family and friends. She seems extraordinarily tough. Hang in there.

Wow... she sure seems so much stronger than I'd be staring down that future.

Hang in there Quinn!

That's an indomitable spirit right there. I think she is just a person who rises to whatever challenge is before her. This one might crush me, but I remember when I was laid up in the hospital for 50 days with rods and sh#t affixed to my leg, I just sucked it up and tried to do whatever was needed.

But my injury, thought it changed my life, is small beer compared to what Quinn is up to. My understanding is that she fractured a thoracic vertebrae and doesn't have control of her trunk muscles (ergo the brace to keep her sitting upright), so her future is going to be challenging. Maybe she recovers some feeling and control in her midsection but you can't count on it. I trust she'll find a way.

Man, this has been a tough year for the climbing community. My heart goes out to Quinn and all the others.

Wow. Again and again I'm struck by the paradox of how strong and amazing humans can be and, simultaneously, how fragile. Here, a simple act for the uninjured becomes a 500 lb. bench press. Fragility, strength and courage all in one movement. You inspires us all, Quinn. Keep kicking ass.
