I got around to making my first model!

https://sketchfab.com/models/983e06eb781a4481972efee0750f4518

On one hand, all of the imagery (524 12mp photos) for this model was shot on one battery by a friend with a DJI Mavic. Not bad! Only 15 minutes of flight time. Processing time on the other hand...

I'm using Agisoft (for now) to process the images. The tiled model looks incredible, you can pick out bolts and all of the cracks look realistic. Not sure why it looks much worse in Sketchfab. 400mb vs 2mb, but can't seem to figure out how to get Sketchfab to take my tiled model.

Learned a lot from making this model, need to be more precise w/ angle vs terrain and overlaps. Still pretty happy with the result. This is the future IMO.

Wow!
Thanks It's like getting to go, i've not been to the Voo in decades but I found my way to "I'd Rather be In Philadelphia" (KB, Thnx,RiP)

There is a program/App called the Gunks app for $20, you can see the holds & placements, seems like cheating, the thrill of the un-known & the ability to handle what ever comes at me, on a climb, is a lot of where I've found the most satisfaction, but this is the future.

Why bother to go? The drive there is more adventurous.
