In this case, text messages outline planning, and there’s no evidence any animal parts were sold, WDFW investigators said.
Many times, the alleged poachers left entire animals to waste, so they weren’t always seeking meat or a physical trophy.
According to the reports, Martin told an officer he had more deer skulls at his house. By night’s end, the officers had seized 27 buck deer heads, most of them from Oregon, according to a probable-cause affidavit filed in Skamania County Court.
Since August, the Skamania County prosecutor has charged eight people with 191 criminal counts, including 33 felony charges.

I really can't think of a punishment that I would consider too severe. Maybe I need to refresh myself on the Inquisition.

Wanton cruelty to animals by humans existed long before gunpowder was invented. I hope these inbred dipshiits get some jail time for this behavior.

"Wanton cruelty to animals by humans existed long before gunpowder was invented."
And wanton cruelty to people too....
You really want to make yourself sick checkout what the poachers do in Africa.

Well they obviously are not hunters they're poachers.
Tattoo them with American flags and drop em off naked in some Islamic state stronghold. Animal terrorists.

Never ever access public lands.
Never ever be able to legally own firearms/bows.
I think of the folks who scream that muslims don't sufficiently bash terrorists.
Where are the gun advocates, and their position on this?

Ken m- how would you be able to poach that many animals without guns? Of course this is the reason Americans own guns.

That pi$$es me off also.
All that Deer jerky and Deer salami going to waste.
An American resource, wasted.
"fullest extent of the law"---unfortunately, this ends up being quite minor in most cases, with everything pled down to misdemeanors with simple fines.
The attitude seems to be that poachers are just exercising their 2nd amendment rights to shoot anything they want.

Yep. Those f*cks represent the actions of the 10's of thousands of law abiding gun owners in the U.S. Seriously?
What's important about your post is that you call attention to this atrocity. What's irrelevant is your attempt to connect this behavior to gun owners and advocates of gun rights.
Of course "gun owners" in Chicago's gangs, or most other Democrat run inner cities don't care about this. They're to busy dodging bullets. But the great majority of gun rights advocates in the US are appalled by this kind of thing.

Indeed.
My apologies for potentially derailing the discussion, but for those of you who eat meat, especially poultry, pork, and beef that comes from industrial farms, I don't see why you'd really give a sh#t about how these animals were treated. Disgusting and abhorrent behavior for sure, but no more cruel than what goes on at the farms (if you can still call them that) and slaughterhouses to put that steak, chicken breast, or bacon on your plate.

Yeah it does. When I lived in Seattle my neighbor and his buddies would net wild salmon in the Sammamish slough at night. At least he smoked and ate the fish. Never turned him in but sure thought about it.
