Hey Team,

I just wanted to address the rumors about what happened today and give ya'll a brief update.

Quinn and Josie were climbing the Nose when Quinn took an approximately 100 foot fall mid lead up the boot flake and unfortunately struck Texas flake. She is alive, alert/oriented, and stable but dealing with severe and likely life long injuries.

I am with her, Josie is on her way and her family will arrive tomorrow.

We will update here as Quinn and her family deem appropriate.

Thanks,

Libby

Bummer, sounds pretty bad.
Alive is a good result for that fall.
Alert is good, too.
Bummer about this sport, though - one mistake and you can be wrecked for life or dead if you're runout or have no backup.

Just one year ago, Quinn and Josie did those 7 walls in 7 days.

Thanks for the report Libby, prayers and thoughts for fast and full healing. Curious, were they going for a speed record?

Good climbing vid here if anyone has interest:

Looking forward to a fast recovery and an exciting first hand account of this wild adventure. 100 ft fall will be a great tale to tell the grandkids someday.
