It must have been thrilling for you to do this project!

Congratulations on completion and a big thank you for having the vision (and stamina) to do it.

I took a photo of the book showing the slipcase yesterday:

Love the cover and eager to purchase a copy. Now, with this project done, you should turn to writing a book about the 1977 plane crash in Yosemite; if you are able to finish it in 19 years, you'll beat anyone else working on the project.

Just got some good news.

My book is not out officially until Oct. 15 but we rushed some copies to the judges at the Banff Film and Book Festival (barely made the deadline) and the book made the short list.

For those who didn't hear this last Saturday. Well-told.
Strong work, Mr. Herrington; looking forward to purchasing your book.

Thanks, Jim. An honor to be in it. Already bought three - one for me, one for each of my daughters for Christmas.

I haven't posted in a while. Big news is, the book won the Grand Prize at Banff last month.
And England seemed to like it alright:

There were some SuperTopians(?) that either participated in the book or helped in other ways, you know who you are. Thanks to you all.

Any chance of getting a list of the climbers that are photographed in THE CLIMBERS?

Nice piece of work!

I gave your book to my son for a X'mas gift. I was fortunate to climb with a few of the "legends" cited.

Stunning. I have to admit I was kind of surprised "Micronut from Supertopo" didn't make the list.

I don't look good in black & white though....maybe that was taken into account.

The list:

Thank god I was overlooked as I wouldn't want to have any of it described or explained in detail without pre-vetted questions and at least one lawyer present at all times.

Jim's task of assembling a set group of "persons' of note" is loaded with negatives. To make it more than a discussion of personal tick lists, readers have to come away with the feeling they now know something about a very interesting person. A very demanding effort.
