I shop at the valley store for fresh items that need refrigeration, easier than dealing with ice for 5 days.

Lynne, Maybe put the call out for someone who is coming up just for the weekend .. to bring you a fresh chicken..
The Village store tends to have high prices for most of their food products.

I'll be doing my pancake breakfast on Sunday morning. Anyone is welcome.

Do you want me to do bacon and omelets?

Thanks all! I'd say yes Barbarian and I'll bring fruit so H only has to do pancakes. After camping 3 weeks in the Sierra Nevada I found Lingonberry jam great on pancakes....I'll bring some.

But after 3 weeks in the mtns I guess anything tastes great on pancakes....jess sayin'. Smiles, L.

I have delayed in sending a donation of chalkbags for the FL raffles - still time to get there though. Can someone please post the address and contact person for me to send to? Will send five pieces.

I know this isn't about meatfest but since it is FL related, hoping someone who has the info can respond.

Thanks

Will be bringing along my guitar and a cajon. Unfortunately Vegasclimberwife won't be able to make it again this year due to work obligations.

As it is with my new job I'm lucky I will be able to go. Will be there Wednesday, heading into SF for a concert Thursday night and coming back for the rest of the gig.

Will check the thread as things get closer, happy to pick up some nonperishables here to shore up whatever is needed. See ya soon!

Thanks Jon Beck. What is the pot made out of? Don't want the bottom to burn.
Cheers!

Will Do Jim. You'll be missed. You were my neighbor a few years back when you were there.

Lynne I have a big pot too. Maybe 2 gallons. Jon's might be better. Still working on a late arrival to bring the chicken. Worse case we can get it at the store. Is two chickens enough?

Moose, Cragnshag and Vegas sounds awesome. Looks like we'll be having some good food.

I'll bring some misc. metal bowls and serving utensils. I'll have a two burner stove people can use as well.

H and Jon Beck......

Thanks JB for the good laugh :)

Here's one for you. "I'm feeling all "stove" in." I thought it funny .... just finished cleaning the two camping stoves I'm bringing.

I think your pot may be to largo, Jon. I need more like the two gallon size, about 10" diameter and 8" height so they will fit on my camp stoves.

H, your pot sounds perfect, but need two. As well as two chickens. No worries I can pick them up at the Yos Village Market if need be.

I also have for your pancakes a bottle of real maple syrup and a bottle of Montana Huckleberry syrup and a roll of paper towels for clean up.

My van is packed and I had to step back and smile. It's been 9 years and I have a quarter of the stuff I used to bring. I have learned much and have some awesome friends I am thankful for. Cheers and love, lynnie
