Hello,
I am from Switzerland and will come to California for Burning Man. Afterwards (04.-10.09) I will go to the South Tahoe lake region to do some climbing.
So far I did mainly (multi pitch) sport climbing routes up to 5.9 and lead up to 5.7. I will also take a one day trad climbing course at lover´s leap.
Currently, I am searching for a climbing partner in this region. If you would like to go climbing with me one or more days, let me know.

Thanks!

Mainly, I come to visit two friends who live in California.
But unfortunately they are not into climbing ;D

Don't listen to Drf, he's not a real doctor. Burning Man is really fun and there's great climbing in the Tahoe area. If I were closer I'd show you around. Good luck finding a partner!

Patrick, ignore the drunken troll, you'll have a fun time at BM. Once you wipe off the dust the Leap will be a great stop. Crowds and heat start to dissipate in Sept. Maybe your instructor can hook you up with someone at the campground, or pay for a day on the classics with him/her.

If I've got some free time I'll show you around. Have you been to Yosemite? Tahoe is great but if you're this close then it's worth the trip, even for one night.
I'll help you if I can, I lived in Interlaken and the Swiss were really good to me.

I've been climbing for 35 years. Have climbed all over. Even wrote the guide book for the North Tahoe region. I'd give up all (well most of) my 35 years of climbing experiences for a week at Burning Man if I had never been. (Been there the past 19 years for 10-11 days) It's a very memorable experience if you do it right and seek out experiences you've never done before. I'm sure you aren't coming all the way from Switzerland just to party 24/7. So much more to experience at BM though...

Lots of good trad routes in your range at Lovers Leap. It's probably your best choice for a close crag on your way back from Burning Man in the Tahoe region. Have fun.
