My brother Jerry lost his battle with cancer last month. He was instrumental in introducing me to the Sierra with week-long trips as teens into the Emigrant and Ansel Adams Wilderness Areas. By '70 and '71 we began rock climbing at Pinnacles and Yosemite, long ago days still bright in memory. After a few years his focus moved to career and family but he still got out occasionally with me to rekindle the spark in his eyes as he pulled off routes that he would have only dreamed about in the beginning. His kind and generous nature is sorely missed by friends and family. R.I.P.[photoid=507095]

Condolences Dave. I lost my brother Mac to cancer five years ago, he too was a 1951 baby. He introduced me to climbing on Mt Diablo and we climbed together in the Valley.

Cragar, Sonora Mountaineering, what years? I went to Columbia College (then CJC) off and on from 1974-1977.

If your brother introduced you to the Sierras, Dave, he was as good as it gets as far as brothers go.
My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
