I'm looking at a property in Crowley that has 7 one bedroom cabins, and a 3 bedroom owners cabin. Overall seems like a nice property on 3 acres.

Question - what is the rental market like in the area? How easy/difficult would it be to rent the one bedroom cabins? Any idea on going rate for monthly rental for small one bedroom cabin in a nice setting?

I've only seen it on-line so far, but looking at it tomorrow. I believe all the cabins are rented now, and I'll get current and historical info, but curious what "the market" is like for long term rentals.

A friend rented a rig there for a winter. Frozen pipes were kinda his deal all winter. Make sure and ask the current owner.

Careful with long term rentals...only consider married couples over 40, and get a good deposit.

Great comments!

I have other rentals so I understand some of the issues. That said, just looked at it and have removed from my list. No reason to burn anymore time on this thread

Don I think if you were to purchase you would have no problem renting them out as there is currently a housing crisis here in Mammoth/Crowley area. However, with that being said I understand being a landlord may not be fun all the time when you have to deal with tenant issues. Rentals on the market go like hotcakes these days, especially if they are for a reasonable price.

Yeah, looks pretty nice in the photos still.

In defense of Kath, the OP can delete the thread if he wants to officially end the discussion. :)

For the Hans Resort fans, it is a nice property. But Mono County requiring a new well, and for whatever reason it's a cash only deal.
