as sad as this is, and the loss of the spirited author of the best single thread IMO on this site
lands with a sickening thud, he did leave us the word ... and the word is Wayne!

and when i explore as many nooks and crannies as i can find in his beloved stomping ground, his
presence will be felt and i'll be grateful he laid out the goods on something so "motherf*#kin' swole!"

i imagine he's still packin' insouciance with a swagger

Very sad.
Met him at Woodson, and he showed me around, and gave me great beta.
Spent the summer with him in C4, when his then GF was working there.
Last saw him bouldering in JT.
He will be missed.

Uh.. this makes me so sad. Sincere condolences to his family and friends. "American Legend" indeed. I'm sure there are tales to be told

Bob was always beacon of wit and humor as well as a strange and fantastic climbing talent. He had a good heart and the universe is an emptier place without him.

Shine on you crazy diamond.

"A belly full of booze and a back full of brawn--that's how we do it around here." ~ BVB

Funniest man I ever met, and a hell of a nice guy.
He brought so much laughter to those climbing weekends in JTree. Laughter and whiskey. And some hard bouldering.
Such sad, sad news.
He will be sorely missed.
