When I was 10 years old running around the woods and hills of East TN, I wrote a letter to Lou and attached my resume seeing if he would hire me to guide at RMI.
He didn't hire me but took the time to write a long letter back encouraging me to keep climbing. I have always thought highly off him because of that! He also threw in a giant poster of his Kangchenjunga climb, can't get better than that for a 10 year old!
Lou and Sir Edmond were the only ones to write back to this TN hillbilly kid!

I am just a skinny little SOB... But I love the quote from either Jim or Lou.
