Pud, Really nice looking home....

Did you move the Winnebago out of the garage?..I enjoyed the video of you driving the bago into garage narrowly missing the roof, or was it the wall..

Hope you find good renters.

Holy real-estate bargain, Batman!!!

A standalone house, on a one-acre property, with 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath, 1300 sf., full appliances, fireplace, AC/Heat, 2 car garage. Small Kennel outside, and all in a quiet, safe neighborhood.

And all for $1,100 a month?

Holy shit!

Where I live, something like that would go for at least $3K. And that would be on a normal city lot, with neighboring houses crowded in on every side.

I'd try to come up with a monthly rate for something like that on a 1-acre property, but the only people in Seattle that can afford 1-acre properties are named Bezos or Gates.

No sh#t. People here are paying $700/mo for 1-room micro apartments. $1,100 might get you something where the bedroom isn't a bed that pulls down from the wall in the livingroom/kitchen/dining room. At least the toilet would probably be in a separate room.

Your rent is too low. You will get low renters.

Not necessarily ......We rent and pay below market value .. We have always respected the homes we have lived in....

Extreme vetting is the answer...(-;

Wish i knew someone good to recommend....

Yo Pud, can you walk me through your decision to want to rent out permanently rather than Airbnb/short term style? How did the financials and hassle break down for you? I've heard both sides so wondering what made you go the way of long term rental. Looks like a hell of a deal for anyone interested! not sure you can even find affordable single family residences in the area any more.

Pud: I thought you got banned/deleted? ;)

The rent he is offering is right in there with what goes on out here. Lots of homes for crack heads to regular folks, ranging from $500 to $1400 per month. Puds place is in a good area, but the whole region is going to hell with tweaker crime it seems. Safer to have a long termer in there than someone turing it into a lab while you are out of town for a few months.

Cole: As for AirBNB Vs Long term... If you are not here to keep things running smoothly, the short term rentals will grind you out. It is really hard to get anyone to do anything out here. Landscapers are all flakes and rip offs... handymen? Forget about it... Timely work done? Good luck.. a cleaner that will do a turn and get your place ready for the next guest? Never happen. The whole service industry to support that stuff is the weak link out here in the desert. When the swamp goes out at 10pm and some hipster is blowing up your phone, what are you going to do....? Not much you can do from LA unless you have someone on top of it.

Thanks Russ, kinda figured that was the case. Feels like someone could make a fortune if they started a legit vacation rental cleaning service here.

We say that all the time... landscape business, handyman, cleaning.... pick one. Gold mine for the right person.

I groomed the Bloot for 10 years to be a crappy version of all three... With about 6 more years of training he probably could have set out on his own. #MissedOpportunity

Why such a concentration of tweakers? Are they merely supplying the demand for meth in LA? Do they ship it elsewhere?

Hi. Does anyone know a good electrician? It is really hard to get someone to call me back.

Try Flores House Cleaning at 760.413.4635. Honest, reliable, and reasonably priced. I'm an absentee landlord.
