I am going down to Tennessee to check the area out around Nashville and see if I want to move there, and I want to see if there are any good climbing areas nearby. Any suggestions?

Obed and Clear Creek have been my favorite, but a bit of a drive from Nashville.

Depends on what you mean by "around".
Chattanooga is 2 hours SE of Nashville, miles and miles of A++ quality sandstone crag climbing. Lots of trad.

Foster Falls, very good sport climbing (with a great swimming hole), is 1 hour 45 minutes SE of Nashville.

Obed/Clear Creek, lots of sport climbing, excellent quality sandstone, is 2 hours due East from Nashville.

A little farther east is North Carolina, for bigger walls, multi-pitch, often more trad-based but not always.
Whitesides, big wall, runout, trad/aid, 5.5 hours from Nashville:

Looking Glass Rock. Big granite dome, trad, single and multi-pitch.

Linville Gorge, multi-pitch moderate trad, 5.5 hours from Nashville:

Rumbling Bald, trad/sport, single and multi-pitch/bouldering. Granite/gneiss. Excellent winter climbing. 5.5 hours east of Nashville.

In addition to those areas mentioned by Jim above, King's Bluff is the 'local' Nashville crag, maybe a 1/2 hour from the city. This is a limestone crag with a good selection of single-pitch routes, mostly sport, across the grades. It is owned and managed by the Southeastern Climbers Coalition. While perhaps not as high quality a crag as many of those listed above, it is still very worthwhile. A number of other areas worth visiting also are within a closer drive than those included in Jim's list.
