christian Pondella and crew decended the couloir in '06( ?) I believe. Climbed up their last year ( north ridge- the mendenhal route) to check it out but condtions were a bit funky- Mt. Morrison is a great ski mountain - climbing- well not so good, but I've heard Dean Hobbs has ascended the North face mant times- no thanks Edit: my buddies Mike Strassman and Scott Ayers climbed the north face, scotty described it as a sixteen hour car wreck.

Cool pic above Stewart, thanks. First shot I've ever seen of ppl climbing on Morrison. Such a captivating peak, that shot makes the rock look deceivingly good. Who's got More??

IIRC Pat Sullivan and Walt Shipley did some horror show on Morrison in 1991-92 ish. I don't remember the details but there was a lot of chatter around the Valley about it being badass. Walt and Sullivan thought was terrifying and quite an accomplishment at the time.

That's some respectable choss. Not a place for anyone with responsibilities,
or any sense of self-worth.
